Our Club patio restaurant opens daily from 7am to 4pm with a patio menu to choose from.

We are also open on Friday evenings from 6pm to 8pm and offer a unique menu to choose from.

Sunday lunch is from 12.30pm to 3pm and also offers a unique menu to choose from.

We also offer specialised catering for functions, weddings etc., platters, special golf prize-giving lunches and suppers on request.

Saffron Chefs designed the canape menu for celebrity, Nondyebo Dzingwa for a Top Billing Shoot at her guest house, 11 On fairway, Southbroom, recently, as a twist on South African food using local produce that is home grown and farmed in our area.

Saffron Chefs is a family business headed up by Chef Alexis Mortimer, trained at Christina Martin School of International Food and Wine as well as at SA Chef Academy, Garth Stroebel. Saffron Chefs has been in existence since 9 August 2010, based on the South Coast offering private chefing, wedding & function catering. Each menu is specifically designed to suit the client as opposed to just providing generic menus. Prior to opening business in 2010 Alexis worked for a 5 star hotel group where she honed her skills as a chef. All of their menus are prepared from scratch and when not cooking up a storm in the kitchen Chef Alexis also runs a hands on culinary studio.

Thanda Ncgobo has been part of the Saffron team since 2012 and has been trained under Chef Alexis to produce and create interesting menus as well as to be versatile in all areas of the business. The menu at the Top Billing shoot was made up of the following . . .

  • Herbed crostini topped with brandied chicken liver pate, shaved biltong and pear chutney
  • Bobotie spring rolls with caramelized pineapple salsa
  • Maize meal infused with barbeque pulled pork, crumbed and fried accompanied by spicy chakalaka
  • Prawn terrine with watercress and citrus spume
